The New Zealand Rugby Museum was the first public museum devoted to rugby in 1977. Since then, the displays have developed. The breadth of the museum's collection attracts national and international recognition, many authors and researchers utilise the museum's unique resources. The use of rare images and the re-telling of epic stories have added to the museum's reputation.
