Palmerston North activities

Walking and Cycling

The riverside path is very popular and easily accessible to walkers and cyclists. Victoria Park, off Fitzherbert Avenue, is a popular starting point. There are longer walks further out and also in the ranges.

 He Ara Kotahi

For those who want the exercise without travelling there is He Ara Kotahi. A nine kilometre walkway through farm and bush linking Palmerston North City with Linton Military camp with a side branch (1.8km) that connects to Massey University.

Take a stroll through the square at night or walk the beautiful Star Path along the river.
